Northeast Forestry University

Founded in 1952, Northeast ForestryUniversity (NEFU) was currently one of the key universities affiliatedwith the Ministry of Education of People's Republic of China as well as one ofthe universities of the "211 Project". It is known as the world'slargest university.

NEFU is presently a multidisciplinaryuniversity with forestry as its leading field and offers a uniquespecialization in forestry engineering. NEFU has also specializes inforestry-related aspects of agriculture, science, engineering, economy,management, liberal arts and law. The university at present is comprised ofsixteen schools s and two departments．There are five post-doctoral scientific research programs, fourfirst-level and thirty-two second-level doctoral degree programs. In addition,there are also ten first-level, seventy-five second-level master's degreeprograms, three types of special discipline master's degree programs in ninefields and fifty-seven undergraduate programs.

The school library is the largestcollection in Heilongjiang province, and we have built the province's largestand most advanced gymnasium and swimming pool. The school invested 20 million Yuanfor modern foreign student apartment which can accommodate 500 people. Theuniversity will create a most comfortable and convenient place for foreignstudents in Heilongjiang Province to their everyday life.

The university has 1,269 full-timeteachers, including seven academicians of Chinese Academy of Engineering andvisiting academicians. There are now more than 40,000 students of variousbackgrounds in NEFU. There were also on campus approximately more than 100long-term international students from 150 countries worldwide.
